SADIES GOTTA DANCE
WITH SUMMER AND PHOENIX
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
NAME:
SADIE (nickname; Grasshopper)
OFFA certified on Heart, Hips and Thyroid. A summer 2015 full body ultrasound at age 8, on heart and all internal organs and lymph nodes, found her to be in continued excellent health. Senior check up 2018, shows Sadie doing well at age 11. I had a medical emergency in Dec 2018 and while I was in the hospital for a week, Sadie went off her food and got very sick. I had to send her home to her creator in January of 2019, just shy of 12 years old, of liver failure, and mercy how I miss her so. Her grand daughters will represent her line for her. There is SO much of her in them.

ALL ABOUT ME
Sadie was my loving Flashy reverse Brindle Boxer who's pedigree brought extensive Boxella lineage to my program, along with other notable ancestry. Even with German imports in her line she retains the “American” look. Brains, Beauty, Health and built for agility which given half a chance I think she’d excel in. The Boxella line is known for it’s health and longevity. Sadie has grand and great grand daughters Summer and Phoenix to carry on her line. Her son Twister was a great contributor as well, producing stunning pups, one of which is the above Summer, a beautiful Brindle with a coat more than 1/3 white, so doesn’t qualify for the shown ring, but beautiful nonetheless. Sadly he went in for a dental procedure and was given an injection of Rimadryl upon being awakened. It put him into kidney failure and was lost a few months later, after going to the ER to have kidneys flushed and they flushed too fast (according to another Vet) and THAT put him into liver failure which they could not fix. Sadie has had some long lived pups - so losing him like this at only 6 was a devastating blow.
Her Line brings an excellent balance in the pups produced, in all the critical areas needed, to create a quality Boxer.
I’ve been asked....so in case you’re wondering...
“A Boxella boxer is unique in that it may have over 50 years of refinement under the guidance of one of the best known boxer breeders, importers and judges around, Joseph Heine. Joseph Heine has been one of the most experienced and successful breeders in Boxerdom. His kennel has produced a huge number of champions and those who are fortunate enough to get not only access to his bloodlines, but his personal guidance, have experienced success as well. I feel very fortunate to have Boxella dogs liberally scattered through all my dog's pedigrees and to be able to say that I have been one of those who has benefited from the guidance of Joe Heine. The boxer world has lost a great leader with the retirement of Joe Heine (he's not dead, just very old). He worked tirelessly with others to improve the quality of American bred boxers, often thru the incorporation of import bloodlines. So, what makes a Boxella dog different from others? I would say it is the love and devotion of a man who perfectly reflected the love and devotion of his favorite breed, Boxers.”
“Mr. Joseph Heine of Boxella Kennels in Cincinnati, Ohio, an internationally known breeder, judge and importer of top quality Boxers.” “ Boxella Boxers, a line of canines originating in Germany”

Q: What dogs in your opinion were crucial to the development of the Boxer?
A: If you look to Boxer history, it had been first of all the ‘Von Dom dogs’, which had great influence all over the world, especially Lustig. In the U.S. it was Ch. Bang Away of Sirrah Crest, in Europe Ch. Witherford Hot Chestnut, Ch. Carlo v. Henningshof, Ch. Gayus v. Schatzkastlein, Ch. Xanthos v. Bereler Ries and others more.
Q: What kennels do you admire?
A: It’s difficult to give names at this time, because many kennels produce one or some champions or outstanding Boxers. But the
difficulty is to breed constantly on a very high level for a long period. I think the ‘vom Dom’ kennel from Ms. Stockmann should always be on the list. The ‘Witherford’ kennel (GB) was successful for decades, as well as ‘Boxella Boxers’ in the USA.
